My toddlers have become obsessed with the pipe cleaners recently so I decided we’d use them to do a fun Fourth of July Craft! Fireworks painting! All you need is some paint, paper and pipe cleaners. Super easy, right?
Fourth of July Craft: Pipe Cleaner Firework Paintings
Materials:
I cut my pipe cleaners in half for my toddlers to use as paint brushes. I bent a them into an “L” shape so that the kids had a “handle” to hold onto.
The kids used them like stamps, dipping them into the paint and then stamping the paint onto the paper in a circular pattern.
This simple craft really kept my kids busy. Some art projects interest them for under five minutes but I had kids at the table with this one for over twenty minutes! Toddlers even!
I love the way these turned out! The texture of the pipe cleaners with paint made for some really neat artwork. I wanted to add glitter to the firework paintings as they dried but we were all out. If you have glitter at home sprinkle some one your paint as it dries to give it a little extra sparkle!
Happy Fourth of July!
