Read for some Mardi Gras beads process art you can do with your kids?
We picked up a pack of Mardi Gras beads from our local Dollar Tree (5 for a dollar) to add to our dress up station but before they made it to the dress up clothes we used them for some art activities! For my daughter and the daycare kids painting activities are always a hit so we broke out the paint and did some painting with Mardi Gras beads!
I love that this Mardi Gras bead process art activity is a super simple activity for kids that doesn’t take any time at all to set up! Just set out paper, a few dabs of paint, and a string of Mardi Gras Beads. That’s it, you’re done!
Mardi Gras Beads Process Art for Kids
Materials:
- Paint
- Mardi Gras Beads
- Paper
I gave each kid a paper plate with some paint on it and a strip of beads. I did cut the strands of beads into two pieces in order to make it a bit shorted for those little toddler hands. That’s it! Now we were ready for some Mardi Gras beads process art.
The girls dipped the beads in the paint on their tray and then used them to paint on their paper. super easy and it’s great for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skill development.
I wanted to use Mardi Gras colors (purple, green, and gold) but the girls wanted pink instead so ours aren’t totally Mardi Gras colors.
The completed Mardi Gras paintings looked bright and colorful! My toddlers loved making these!
…and painting with toddlers (at least my toddler group) always ends with some good old fingerpainting 🙂
