I hate packing lunches. I always run out of lunch box ideas!
Maybe it’s because we’re always in a rush (I never have the motivation to make them the night before) or because I’m not fond of cooking, either way lunch duty is not my favorite. It doesn’t help that my daughter is not a fan of the things you typically pack in a lunchbox, things like juice boxes and sandwiches are a no-go for her. It makes finding easy lunch ideas a pain so I had to find and create my own.
The first two weeks after my daughter started school were painful. Everyday my daughter came home hungry and cranky because rather than eating some elaborate lunch box idea I found on Pinterest she brought home a lunchbox full of untouched foods. I don’t even want to talk abut the time it took to put those meals together. *Sigh*
Finally I decided it was time to change things up and I went in search of easy lunch box ideas that could easily be thrown together last minute in the morning and focused more on finger foods that were tasty and good for her.
I found Horizon® Lowfat Aseptic Milk Boxes and Horizon® Strawberry Super Squeeze pouches. I grabbed some for lunches because there have ingredients I can feel good about my daughter eating and they are perfect for on-the-go in lunches.

Here are our favorite quick and easy lunch box ideas using our favorite on-the-go meal ideas.
Quick and easy fruit and veggies with peanut butter for dipping. Throw in a single serve Horizon® Kids Aseptic Milk Box, with 8 grams of protein and no high fructose corn syrup, plus a super squeeze pouch and your done!
Make your own lunchables! Add some ham or turkey, cheese, and crackers to your child’s lunch. Pair with low fat chocolate milk and Horizon® Super Squeeze, a creamy blend of milk and real fruit that has 5 grams of protein and an excellent source of calcium, for a meal you can feel good about your kid eating.
This is one of my daughter’s favorites. I love it because it takes me less than five minutes to throw together. Carrots and spreadable cheese, trail mix, blueberries, Horizon® low fat aseptic milk, & a strawberry super squeeze pouch.
