Do you have a preschooler learning to write? Our ABC printable is perfect for kids learning to write letters and for kids to become familiar with letters of the alphabet.
My preschooler is always asking for printables that have a writing theme to them. She’s always interested in activities that involve tracing or stamping so I figured why not combine the two interests and make a simple ABC printable for her? Generally ‘worksheets’ aren’t my thing but my daughter absolutely loves them so I try to make a few simple ones here and there because she asks for them regularly.

The easy thing about printables is that you usually only need markers or pens to go with them, making setup a breeze. We added a set of ABC stamps to this one because my daughter loves her Melissa & Doug stamp set! They are seriously her favorite art item at the moment.

I simply sat out the materials with the ABC printable and then my daughter and I did one together. After that first one she wanted to do them on her own so I printed out several other letters and she took off.
My daughter likes to keep these in her room on her desk and like to do them at quiet time.
The kids can practice letter sounds as they go too. My daughter makes the letter sounds after she stamps the letter on her paper.
Pre-writing practice activities are something that my daughter loves to do. I’m not concerned with her writing skills at this age but I do like that this not only helps her with letter recognition but it also helps her pencil grasp and coordination skills. Plus she is learning about letter formation and how to write her letters. It’s something that she loves to do so I’m happy to be able to create something she enjoys.

I love the variety of letter activities included in this 1 work sheet. I used to do similar things with my students & it would have been nice to be able to just print and go.
