A tasty and easy Valentine’s Day candy bark recipe that kids can make!
Valentine’s Day is a great time to let that special teacher or daycare provider know how much they mean to you with simple teacher gifts and treats. I love homemade treats that the kids can help make and then give out as festive teacher gifts. This year we decided to try making something with M&M’s® Strawberry because they are perfect for Valentine’s Day treats!
Easy Valentine’s Day Candy Bark Recipe!
Ingredients:
- 12oz White Chocolate or Candy Making Wafers
- M&M’s® Strawberry (or seasonal pink/colored milk chocolate ones)
- Mason Jar
- Red/Pink/Purple string or yarn
- “Thank You” printable tags (see below)
This really is a simple gift you can make to give to teachers or daycare providers. It’s simple enough that you can make it with preschoolers and toddlers as well as school-age children.
Melt your chocolate via the instructions on the package. Spread a thin layer of the melted chocolate out on an aluminum foil or parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Add M&M’s® Strawberry to chocolate.
We also made a few heart-shaped ones by pouring the melted chocolate into small cookie cutters. Let chocolate harden in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
When your Valentine’s Day Candy Bark is firm you want to break it up into smaller sizes. My sure your chunks are small enough to fit through the mouth of your mason jar.
Then just fill up your mason jar with the pieces. Add some decorative yarn or string around the top and one of our free printable “thank you” tags! Easy peasy!
While my many daycare providers love to get handmade gifts and treats your child’s school may have rules for shareable treats that require food items to be store-bought.
My daughter’s preschool allows homemade treats but on our trip to the store for a Valentine’s Day card & the ingredients for our candy bark recipe we also picked up a DOVE® Valentine’s Day tin of chocolates for her teacher. We paired the greeting cards with the homemade Valentine’s Day bark and the DOVE® Valentine’s Day chocolates tin. They turned out to be the perfect daycare provider and teacher gifts!
Perfect right? It’s so easy and you can’t go wrong with a treat that tastes this good.
What are you doing for daycare provider or teacher gifts?

This is such a great idea! I actually bought candy for my daughter’s teachers. I had baked cookies for Christmas, and planned to do that again but our oven broke!!! This is a great recipe! #client
