We love blocks! My daughter and the daycare kids play with the wooden blocks daily and I’m always looking for new sets to inspire creativity and imaginative play. I’m picky with toys and blocks because I want quality toys that will last and allow the kids to easily create with them. Recently we were given a set of the CitiBlocs to play and create with, below you’ll find our review and a GIVEAWAY (Closed; Congrats Leigh!)!!
Hands-on Toys for Kids: Citiblocs Review
I was sent a complimentary set of CitiBlocs to review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. See my full disclosure policy here. Post contains affiliate links for your convenience. Thank you!
Hands-on toys that promote open-ended play are the perfect toys for kids and these wooden blocks are no exception. When we got the chance to review this Neon CitiBlocs set we were very excited! As soon as they arrived the girls jumped right into building with them. The girls found them very easy to build with and I was impressed with the structures they were able to create! They are much easier for small fingers to build intricate structures with than traditional blocks are.
CitiBlocs are high quality wooden blocks that allow kids to build not only traditional structures but also modern designs. The blocks are made from certified renewable forests in New Zealand and are non-toxic. The smaller size and shape allow the kids to build higher and more precise than with traditional wooden blocks. I was surprised by how sturdy these lightweight blocks are.
My 3 year olds built tall towers and structures while my older preschooler loved to check the included building guide and try to re-create the structures and objects in the guide. She made planes, intricate towers, and even combine different ideas to make her own castles and towers!
Even my 18 month old loves to get in on the action! She likes to stand them up on one end and make her own little towers. They are lightweight enough that my younger kids have no problems being able to build with them. Also being lightweight means there were no smashed fingers or injuries when the whole tower came crashing down on them.
If you’re looking for a great hands-on toy for a little one in your life I highly recommend you pick up a set of CitiBlocs! I’m going to be adding a few more sets to our collection!
