Simple Christmas crafts for kids are always on my to-do list during this time of year and this pipe cleaner Christmas tree craft is so easy!
I like to create simple and easy crafts for my daughter and the daycare kids as they are all around 2-3yr old so their attention span for crafts is very short still. Our (deceptively) Easy Christmas Tree Craft was such an easy project that even my youngest toddler (18mo) could do and it got the girls wanted to do more Christmas tree crafts so today we broke out the pipe cleaners and made this easy craft for kids!
Pipe Cleaner Christmas Tree Craft
Materials:
- Pipe Cleaners*
- Glue
- Craft Stick
- Star Beads*
*We received our star beads and pipe cleaners free from CraftProjectIdeas.com but you can find their products at your local Walmart.
It’s very easy to make these! Just cut the pipe cleaners into different sizes that form a Christmas tree and let the kids glue them on. Add a star when you’re done! Easy right?!
We talked about the shape of the Christmas tree before we started. Then we arranged the pipe cleaners into a triangle before gluing them to the craft stick.
We left a bit of space at the top and added a star bead to the top of our pipe cleaner Christmas tree craft.
It takes a good amount of glue for the pipe cleaners to stay on so if your little ones are like mine and love to lather on the glue then this is perfect for them.
If you are short on time or if you have older kids a glue gun would also work for this activity.
They turned out so cute! We love making this craft at Christmas time. The kids can hang these on the Christmas tree or use them as decorations.
