Bats & Ghosts Halloween Toilet Paper Craft
Pressed Toilet Paper Craft Materials:
- Toilet paper
- Halloween cookie cutters
- Water
- Bowl
- Sponge/Towel
- Cooking spray
- Paint (optional)
Shred the toilet paper into a bowl. If you are planning to make colored bats too then use two bowls, one for regular toilet paper and one to be colored (optional).
Add water and mix until all your shredded toilet paper is thoroughly wet. If you want you can add a few drops of paint or liquid watercolor to the mixture. We added a few drops of black tempera paint to one bowl so that we could make bats as well as ghosts.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking oil. Make sure you wipe off the excess cooking spray so your ghosts don’t absorb the excess, it will give them a yellowish coloring. Next place cookie cutters on a baking sheet. Scoop your wet toilet paper mixture into the cookie cutter.
Use a sponge or towel to press toilet paper mixture firmly into cookie cutters and absorb the excess water. You want to absorb as much of the water as you can.
When the excess water has been pressed out remove the cookie cuter. Place cookie sheet in a preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Oven temperatures may vary so keep a close eye on them, edges will turn brown if cooked too long.
Once cool you can use a marker to add some spooky faces!
Tape a piece of string to the back and hang them around your house.
